 Counseling

I obtained a master's in clinical health psychology from Bastyr University. It was a unique degree that combined a focus of treating mental health disorders with nutrition. At the time, I was struggling with my own lack of self-worth and I thought learning more about health and nutrition would cure my anxiety. I can relate to my clients in many ways when it comes to seeking therapy or coaching. We often think we need something to heal us, and then in the process of therapy, we discover something completely different than we needed.

Motherhood has been a continual process of increasing my faith, grieving, and also focusing on my future and not always the past.

I am passionate about helping women from all walks of life increase their self-worth and through a better understanding of their "mother wound." I find that most women don't seek my services because they think they have issues with their mother. However, I find that looking closely at this primary relationship and how it formed both your nervous system and belief system can be highly effective.

During the intake, we look at your mental health history, but also your family culture's beliefs and values.
I also refer out for medication management or trauma work. I am able to assess the level of trauma that may be causing symptoms, but I do not offer trauma work at this time.

I want counseling with me to be informative. I offer a non-judgmental space where you can ask questions, share your barriers, and explore questions. I love working with clients who have done counseling before but didn't see long term results.

The best way to make a decision to work with me, is to do a free 15-minute phone consultation. Please get in touch with me via phone or email to schedule that! 206-245-9543
